Live Music in Pasadena, California: November and Early December 2026

By Alejandro Espitia · 6 min read · 2026-09-24

A low stage in a restored South Pasadena schoolhouse venue with a microphone and guitars under warm amber lights

This edition of the live music roundup covers the shows you can still catch around Pasadena from late October into mid-December 2026, with dates, times, and sources for every entry. The schoolhouse venue in South Pasadena posts its most complete November roster yet, the parish benefit that anchors Old Town's fall calendar lands October 23, and the Pasadena Symphony's second Classics night follows on November 14. Every show was verified on September 24, 2026 against the venue's own schedule page or a published event listing; calendars this far out are still partial at most rooms, and anything that could not be pinned to these exact dates was left out. Your host is Alejandro Espitia, Broker Associate and REALTOR with Apex Realty and Investments, California license 01213999, with 18+ years across Los Angeles, San Bernardino, San Gabriel, and Riverside, in English and Spanish.

Friday, October 23: the 31st Bach to Broadway at St. Andrew

The parish's annual benefit concert for the restoration fund of historic St. Andrew Catholic Church takes over the church at 311 N. Raymond Avenue in Old Town on Friday, October 23 at 7:30 p.m. The 31st edition is headlined by the Los Angeles Children's Chorus, with its Concert Choir and Young Men's Ensemble under artistic director Fernando Malvar-Ruiz, joined by members of the LA Opera and LA Master Chorale. Tickets run through the church's own ticket page, linked below, and it is the rare benefit where the venue itself is the draw: a landmark Old Town church with the program to match.

Sid The Cat Auditorium: the November roster fills in

Sid The Cat Auditorium at 1020-1022 El Centro Street in South Pasadena keeps the fall run going with the most complete November slate published so far: Liana Flores on Thursday, November 5; Greg Freeman on Friday, November 6; Ian Sweet with Luella on Saturday, November 7; Sparta on Thursday, November 12 at 7:00 p.m.; Craig Finn on Tuesday, November 17 at 8:00 p.m.; and Georgia Maq on Thursday, November 19 at 7:00 p.m. Earlier editions already covered Squirrel Flower on November 3 and Jake Xerxes Fussell on November 13, so this edition adds the dates that have landed since. Small rooms like these sell out on name recognition alone, so grab tickets on the venue's schedule page, linked below, and make a night of it with Sid's Bar next door.

December: Evil Island and Willi Carlisle at the schoolhouse

December opens the same room's holiday stretch: Evil Island on Saturday, December 12 at 7:00 p.m., and Willi Carlisle with Amelia Day on Thursday, December 17 at 7:00 p.m. These are the first December dates posted for the room, so expect the calendar to keep filling; confirm on the venue's page as the date gets closer.

Saturday, November 14: the Pasadena Symphony's Beethoven program

The Pasadena Symphony's 2026-27 Classics series continues at Ambassador Auditorium, 131 S. St. John Avenue, with a Beethoven program on Saturday, November 14, following the Brahms season opener covered in the October edition of this guide. Ambassador Auditorium is one of the best-sounding rooms in the county, and it is the address to know for the symphony's winter stretch. Tickets are on the Pasadena Symphony and Pops site, linked below.

Also on the calendar through the fall

Candlelight concerts keep running at Pasadena Presbyterian Church through the season with programs that rotate well beyond the Best of Cantonese Pop edition on October 10: Joe Hisaishi, a Queen and Beatles tribute, and Mozart versus Beethoven are all on the fall listings on Fever, linked below. The headline outdoor date of November remains Moby and Underworld at Brookside at the Rose Bowl on Saturday, November 7, covered in the late-October and early-November edition, and Old Towne Pub at 66 N. Fair Oaks Avenue keeps booking live original bands seven nights a week, with the week-by-week lineup on its Facebook page.

Dates and times verified September 24, 2026 against the venues' own schedule pages, JamBase, Bandsintown, Dice, the St. Andrew Church ticket page, and the Pasadena Symphony and Pops site. Calendars this far out stay partial, so confirm on the venue's own page before heading out.

Every show in this guide was re-verified on September 24, 2026 against the venue's own schedule page or a published event listing. The Rose Bowl holds no November or December concerts on the published calendar, only UCLA football through late November, so the schoolhouse room and the church and hall programs above carry the season. Anything that could not be confirmed for these exact dates was left out.

What a live calendar says about a neighborhood

Live music is one of the fastest ways to read a neighborhood: the schoolhouse room booking original acts through December, the landmark church that fills for a benefit, and the hall that keeps a symphony season going all shape what a typical week feels like. A town with a full November calendar of small-room shows and a serious classical season is a town with real cultural density, and that matters if you are weighing a move. Alejandro Espitia of Apex Realty and Investments brings 18+ years of local real estate and home financing experience to that decision, in English or Spanish, for buyers, sellers, and investors across Los Angeles, San Bernardino, San Gabriel, and Riverside.
