Live Music in Pasadena, California: Late October and Early November 2026

By Alejandro Espitia · 6 min read · 2026-09-22

A restored schoolhouse auditorium stage in South Pasadena with warm amber lights, a microphone, and silhouetted instruments

This edition of the live music roundup covers the shows you can still catch around Pasadena from mid-October into early November 2026: Sid The Cat's longest stretch of the fall, a big electronic double bill at Brookside at the Rose Bowl, the nightly live-music room that has anchored Old Pasadena since 1973, and the symphony season under way at Ambassador Auditorium. Every show was verified on September 22, 2026 against the venue's schedule page or a published event listing; calendars this far out are still partial at most rooms, and anything that could not be pinned to these exact dates was left out. Your host is Alejandro Espitia, Broker Associate and REALTOR with Apex Realty and Investments, California license 01213999, with 18+ years across Los Angeles, San Bernardino, San Gabriel, and Riverside, in English and Spanish.

Sid The Cat Auditorium: the fullest stretch of the fall

Sid The Cat Auditorium at 1020-1022 El Centro Street in South Pasadena, the schoolhouse room just across the line, books its busiest stretch of the fall between mid-October and mid-November. The run so far: Bedouine on Saturday, October 17; Hovvdy with opener Emma Ogier on Tuesday, October 20 at 7:00 p.m.; 60 Juno on Wednesday, October 28 at 7:00 p.m.; Theo Katzman on Thursday, October 29, carried over from the October edition of this guide; Surprise Chef on Saturday, October 31 at 8:00 p.m.; Mary In The Junkyard on Monday, November 2 at 8:00 p.m.; Squirrel Flower and Sour Widows on Tuesday, November 3 at 7:00 p.m.; Heavens to Betsy on Sunday, November 8 at 7:00 p.m.; and Jake Xerxes Fussell on Friday, November 13 at 8:00 p.m. Doors and ticket links are on the venue's schedule pages, linked below, and small rooms like these sell out on name recognition alone.

Saturday, November 7: Moby and Underworld at Brookside at the Rose Bowl

The headline outdoor date of the window is Moby and Underworld at Brookside at the Rose Bowl on Saturday, November 7 at 4:00 p.m., an electronic double bill on the meadow north of the stadium. It is the rare concert on the Rose Bowl calendar this fall: the stadium's October dates belong to UCLA football (Wisconsin on October 17, Michigan State on October 24, Nevada on October 31) rather than concerts. Tickets are on the ticketing links at the Rose Bowl's event pages.

Old Towne Pub: the nightly live room since 1973

Old Towne Pub at 66 N. Fair Oaks Avenue, entered through the alley off 22 Holly Street, remains Pasadena's dependable live-original-bands room: a 100-capacity, 21-and-up dive that has booked bands seven days a week since 1973, usually with no cover. The weekly lineup is posted day-to-day on the pub's Facebook page rather than far ahead, so check there before you head out. Songkick tracks its shows, and it is the easiest room in town to walk into on a whim.

Also on the calendar this window

Back on stage within the window: the Pasadena Symphony opens its season at Ambassador Auditorium on Saturday, October 24, covered in the October edition of this guide; Candlelight Pasadena plays its Best of Cantonese Pop at the Pasadena Presbyterian Church on October 10; and the Beths play Sid The Cat on October 14, both in the late-September and early-October edition. The Ice House's calendars in this window are comedy rather than concerts, so the rooms above carry the music.

What a live calendar says about a neighborhood

Live music is one of the fastest ways to read a neighborhood: the schoolhouse room booking original acts week after week, the meadow that hosts an electronic double bill, and the dive that has kept live bands alive in Old Pasadena since 1973 all shape what a typical night out feels like. The blocks around Sid The Cat, the condos within stroll of Old Towne Pub, and the apartments near the Rose Bowl show their best on nights like these, and that matters if you are weighing a move. Alejandro Espitia of Apex Realty and Investments brings 18+ years of local real estate and home financing experience to that decision, in English or Spanish, for buyers, sellers, and investors across Los Angeles, San Bernardino, San Gabriel, and Riverside.
