A modern Thai street-food patio in Old Town Pasadena at dusk with string lights and an open kitchen glow

This guide rounds up the Pasadena restaurants actually generating buzz in fall 2026: newly opened dining rooms, a Boston institution's first West Coast outpost, and the Thai street-food spot topping the local hot lists. Every pick below was checked against the restaurant's own website, a city directory, or a published opening announcement before it made the list, and each entry names its neighborhood and what makes it worth your night out. Your host is Alejandro Espitia, Broker Associate and REALTOR with Apex Realty and Investments, California license 01213999, with 18+ years of experience across Los Angeles, San Bernardino, San Gabriel, and Riverside, in English and Spanish.

THAIM: Thai street food at One Colorado

THAIM opened in the heart of One Colorado, the open-air complex at 20 E. Union Street in Old Pasadena, taking over the former Dirt Dog space. It serves an Old Bangkok menu of Thai street classics, from salads to the street-food plates the neighborhood has been waiting for, and it has sat on top of the local hot lists since opening. It is an easy stroll from the Gold Line and a natural stop before a night of shows and bars. Call (626) 345-5126 or find it at 20 E. Union St., Suite 160.

Love Baked Wings: crispy, never fried, now in Old Pasadena

Love Baked Wings brought its Melrose Avenue cult following to 38 W. Colorado Boulevard in the heart of Old Pasadena. The wings are baked crispy rather than fried, with every sauce made in-house, plus cauliflower, salads, sides, and beer on tap, and there is patio seating for warm nights. Hours run Sunday through Thursday 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Friday to Saturday until 10:00 p.m., per the restaurant's site at lovebakedwings.com.

The Daily Catch makes its West Coast debut on Colorado Boulevard

The Daily Catch, the family-owned Sicilian-style seafood kitchen that has been a Boston fixture since 1973, opened its first West Coast location at 927 E. Colorado Boulevard this summer in the former Japon Bistro space. Expect calamari seven ways, lobster fra diavolo, and squid ink pasta, with fish flown in from New England. Reservations run through Tock, and the dining room has drawn steady local attention since opening day.

More of the city's newest tables

Several other openings are feeding the current wave. Levant Mediterranean Oven and Grill held its grand opening on July 8 at 117 W. California Boulevard in the Orangewood Center. Nana's Green Tea opened at 45 N. Raymond Avenue in May with matcha drinks and soft serve. Sliders Bakery and Ice Cream Factory added a second location at 1355 N. Hill Avenue. Neighbors and Friends: The Kitchen, a favorite Old Town cafe, expanded to South Pasadena in May during 2026. Thai options keep multiplying on the south side of town, and Cheesesteaks by Matu now operates in Playhouse Village. One more is on the way: Lodge Bread Company's fourth location, expected in early November.

Why the dining scene belongs in your neighborhood search

Restaurants are the fastest pulse of a neighborhood. A block that can hold a One Colorado or a Playhouse Village is the same block with the weekend foot traffic, the patio weather, and the resale story that comes with it. When you tour Pasadena, eat your way through the town: Old Pasadena for energy, East Colorado and South Lake for quieter corners with room to grow. Alejandro Espitia of Apex Realty and Investments brings 18+ years of local real estate and home financing experience to that decision, in English or Spanish, for buyers, sellers, and investors across Los Angeles, San Bernardino, San Gabriel, and Riverside.
